Knee Boards for Sale
In any civilized society where there is water and a fast motorboat, there are sure to be knee boards for sale. Knee boards are the water equivalent of snowboarding, and a fast tow behind a boat sends the rider hopping over waves on a sunny day. The dugout canoe was a slow means of travel for south pacific Indonesians who traveled the seas and spread their culture from island to island, but they would have much preferred motorized boats and knee boards over rowing by hand across waters. Even the Vikings would have had a blast on the single or dual finned boards, churning through icy waters with without wetsuits, they would have been the first members of the polar bear club. But one doesn't have to brave icy waters of the North Atlantic, nor do they need to build their own canoe which requires 20 people paddling in unison to the beat of a drum. They can simply grab the handles of a tow rope, kneel down on a knee board, and away they go, skimming along the top of the lake waters or the smooth waters of a bay, off the coast. Southern California was the birthplace of the board, where broken surfboards cut down to size floated on top of the water like huge angel fish laid on their sides, big enough to sit on. Cutting through the water, kneeboarders perform tricks like surface rolls and side slides. Jumping the wake is performed with a hard cut out of the wake, and a harder cut back into the wake that propels one up into the air and back down to a safe water landing while still speeding across the water. The front flip and back roll are other tricks that everyone seems to know. Cutting and jumping, they zoom across the sparkling blue water without a care in the world. Sporting enthusiasts watch and become jealous at the competitors as they shout in glee with fun. Nearby water skiers try to outdo the kneeboarders with their jumping and one ski tricks. Have you ever seen a skier on one ski? They show the world with their skill that two skis are not required to maintain balance and swing from side to side, as they shift their weight and move like belly dancers to maneuver behind the boat that pulls them. |
